Moss Falls is located below the Escarpment Trail about 20 minutes from the RBG parking lot on Rock Chapel Road.
Also it is only a 2 minute walk along Escarpment Trail (also Bruce Trail) from the end of Romar Rd. at top of Sydenham hill to the first ravine.
Climb down this ravine (it actually is Romar Cascade) beside a wooden bridge over the Escarpment Trail, then follow the escarpment face east (towards Sugar Shack Falls) until you come across a karst type waterfall where the water emerges from the cliff, then tumbles down a mossy terrace. The water emerges right out of a fissure in the escarpment rock. It is a difficult 10 minute walk through the bush to get to the base of Moss Falls from this ravine.
To see Moss Falls from the top, it is 130 paces easterly along the Escarpment Trail from the first ravine from the Romar Rd. side.
Alternately it is 60 paces from the hydro tower to a Bruce Sign white marker and Moss Falls is opposite this marker and if flowing, you can hear it and see the bottom of the falls from this point.
The width of Moss Falls as it falls from the karst feature is 3 ft. wide but it widens out significantly to 10 ft. as it falls over the main drop section.
Its total height is 22 ft.
With all the moss, it appears to have flow for much of the time, maybe not a high volume of flow but a steady flow.
It is best to view it after a rainfall.
