Friday night in honour of our troops, we will attempt to illuminate the “Ice Volcano” or as the ladies have put it ” The Devils Wedding Dress” ( I put the word Devil in there..meet me half way here folks….LOL ) in red in recognition of Red Friday. This will be the 1st time we have attempted to light her from down below, so if the melt tomorrow does not make it to slippery expect lights on approx 7pm….ish…. A word of caution here…do not attempt to try to walk in from the bottom unless you are a serious and fit hiker, and have boots, gloves and in our case full length coveralls. On a scale of 1-10 the hike in from the bottom is a 10. Lights last about 1 hour…. Those that do go in from the bottom do not go near the volcano and stay away from the side of the cliffs as there will most likely be falling ice from the melt. Bring a food donation as usual please. Be smart and be safe, if a volunteer tells you it is not safe listen to him/her. Up top there is plenty of places to take pictures from the other side of the fence, lets not see people climb over it please. The parking lot will most likely be closed, there is room on the side of the road to park. Dress warm, bring your camera, bring a friend, bring a food donation, we will see you there!!! #redfridays #supportourtroops #cityofwaterfalls #hamilton #hamont Special thanks to Linda Talian for this great pic!!!!
