On August 13, there was an 'advanced' walk, this one to the base of Tews Falls. Below are some videos that we took!
On Saturday June 6th, we had a waterfall walk and get-together at Battlefield Park. It started at 12 noon and went on until ten in the evening. There was also be a reinactment of the War of 1812 taking place in the vicinity and a nighttime fireworks display.

On the Victoria Day weekend, we had a three day celebration
at the pavillion at Webster's. Organized walks took place
on all three days, with each day having a different theme
and destination.

On Saturday, May 2, we visited the latest waterfall
to be discovered in Hamilton, the Billy Monkley Cascade!!!

On April 25, we celebrated Earth Week by going
on a waterfall walk AND undertaking our first-ever organized
cleaning expedition. We also unveiled Waterfall
Car #3!

Our Good Friday Waterfall
Walk was a huge success! Over 130 people
(and three dogs) came out to enjoy the
adventure. We toured Albion and Buttermilk
Falls, and then Chris Ecklund proudly displayed
the recently discovered Oak Knoll Falls,
as well as Pritchard Road Falls and Walnut
Grove Falls. Read

On Sunday, March 22, 2009, we tried
something new: a 'Waterfall Scouting Walk'. This was
a scouting mission/waterfall walk, which meant that participants
joined the core group as they mapped out and planned a
future walk.
We left from the parking lot at Mud and Pritchard
at noon, and walked down the trail, under the new highway
and made our way to Glendale Falls.
This weekend's walk took place on
March 14. It started at 12 noon at the Hermitage (634
Sulphur Springs Road) and its waterfall companion Hermitage
Cascade, and progressed to Griffin Falls. We also visited
the Hermitage Museum and Griffin House.
The February 28 walk at Puddicombe Falls was
a big success! The attendees also visited Puddicombe Farms,
which is famous for its cafe, bakery, and wine tasting events!
On February 16, 2009, we had our biggest turnout
ever!! The Family Day Waterfall Walk drew 108 people!!! Now
that's dedication!
On February 8, we experienced our biggest turnout ever!!
Sixty-two people! Thanks to all who showed up to participate
in the waterfall walk at Chedoke.We have a special walk planned
for Family Day, February 16, so join our Facebook and Keepers
of the Water Groups and be the first to get times and places!

On January 31, our waterfall group went for a hike in the
afternoon to visit a few of the local falls around the Old
Mill Restaurant. After the hike, Chris sponsored dinner and
drinks for everyone at the restaurant! Below is a video shot

On January 24, the waterfall walk took in Billy Green Falls
and Centennial Falls. Below are some amazing pictures! More

Ron from our Keepers of the Water Group posted
this excellent video to his profile. Chris' response was, "Ron,
what an incredibly well done and excellent video!!! I started
to smile and continued all the way through the song!! One
because I had flash backs to the 70's, but also because it
brought good feelings and memories to the friendships we
have made through this group! Its also the first time I ever
really listened to the words of this song, and it fits our
group!! Well done my friend!!"
On January 1, we started the New Year
right by going on a waterfall walk! We met at
Felkers Falls and spent hours exploring the falls, which
were an impressive sight with the recent show melt. Felkers
was especially majestic in its frosty coat.

On December 7, we conducted a winter walk at
the new Eramosa Karst Conservation Area! The weather was frigid
but our spirit of adventure prevailed!

On November 1, we met at the Chedoke Golf Course,
in the parking lot by the clubhouse. We followed the rail trail
in both directions, and explored Chedoke, Cliffview and
Princess Falls.

On October 25, we went out to Albion Falls and explored the
territory between Albion and Buttermilk Falls. Check out our

On Sunday, October 18, we held a meet and greet and barbecue
at Webster's Falls. A great time was had by all, as can be
seen in the photos below. The scenery was truly breathtaking!

Sunday, October 12 at noon we had a waterfall
walk at the Hermitage Cascade.
There is a 3.5 km trail loop, and we got our exercise
walking along the trails and viewing the old Hermitage ruins.
Location is at the intersection of Sulphur Springs and Mineral
Springs Roads.

On October 5, we had our first 'Waterfall
Group get-together'! See a report from site sponsor Chris Ecklund
below.
Well, today was a great day- we had the
first formation meeting for our Waterfall Group. People came
in from as far west as Chatham, and as far east as Toronto,
and of course lots of Hamiltonians were present!
It was a bright and sunny day and we even
had a flyover from Warplane Heritage with the Lancaster and
B-25 Mitchell.
It was a very proud day for the City and
great to see so many people come out and enjoy each other's
company, meet old friends, make new friends, tour the waterfalls
and enjoy a great day!
This was our first group meeting and it
was an incredible success and also set the bar for the next
event also!
I want to thank everyone who came out
