Billy Monkley Cascade is located in the Billy Monkley
Bird Sanctuary on the east side of Dartnall Road, between
Stone Church Road and Rymal Road on the Hamilton Mountain.
Its height is 10 feet (3 metres) and its width is 21 feet
(6.4 metres). It appears to be similar in many respects to
the Hermitage Cascade and Darnley Cascade.
History
Billy Monkley Cascade was discovered by Chris Ecklund, Dan
Court, and Jeremy Shortt in April 2009.
How to get there
Park in the bird sanctuary parking lot, then follow
the trail on the south east corner. Just before the trial
turns east and downhill, there is a very narrow path to the
creek and the waterfall. You can hear the waterfall from
the main trail. If you miss the narrow path, just follow
the waterfall noise through the field.
